
Fresh off the success of its recent comeback Conference, Urban Network Digital and Amalgamation Magazine: An Industry Quarterly are returning to San Diego, Calif., June 4-7, 2015 for its Annual Music-Entertainment Conference. The venue for the 3-day event will be held at tropical-themed Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2270 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, CA 92108.Early Bird Registration will be $100 for the entire Conference (registration will be $150). Hotel guest rooms are $139 per night plus tax.
This is the only event of its kind on the West Coast. Once again, executive producers for the Conference are Urban Network Digital President Arthur Mitchell and Amalgamation Mag Publisher David Mitchell. They are joined by Conference co-producers Kevin Briscoe, DJ Artistic, Lin. Woods, Tosha Y. Thomas, Harold Whaley, publicist Lynn Allen Jeter, MANDATE Records CEO Leonard Thompson, and industry executive Troy Marshall. Miller London will continue in his role as Co-Chair of the Conference.
More than 600 people attended the Urban Network Digital & Amalgamation Mag Music-Entertainment Conference, held May 1-4, 2014 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in San Diego. Over 70 independent recording acts performed during the 3 ½ days, including headliners Tony Toni Toné, singer-songwriter Sheléa, Pop-R&B girl group Jasmin Sisters, R&B-Jazz icon Norman Connors, singer/actress Antonique Smith (who played Faith Evans in the movie Notorious), Gospel singer Brent Jones, BET Sunday Best Finalist Jessica Reedy, RCA R&B singer CJ Hilton, singer-songwriter Steve Russell, rappers Kataztrofee, Jon Hart, Kaiser Soze, Conceptz, Pulsar Music Group (featuring Medusa), and a bevy of artists hailing from San Diego such as harpist Mariea Antoinette, Gospel songstress Laneé Battle, Pop trio Elevé, rappers King Trick & the New Breedz, Domi Young, and the list goes on.
In the Conference Day-3, June-6, there will be an Indie Artist Exclusive Concern within 06M to 08 PM where featuring performance by Featuring Performances by Combat Ford, Conceptz, KNS Rockstar, Notcho, Out Spoken Verses (OSV), Tasha Mabry, Tino Muzik. Among them, Notcho will perform few track [title to be announced later] from his new released “mix tape” album, The Peril, which focuses on police brutality and police misconduct. Viewers can see how Notcho will be talking about his new released mix tape. In response to several incidents of police misconduct and brutality that seem to have reshaped or redefined how the world views American Society, and somehow have catapulted the most powerful nation into a time warp where it has reverted to the days of civil rights movement, Hip Hop artist Dontray Wedlow, aka Notcho, released “mix tape” album, The Peril. The 10-track Peril will highlight several unique and under-reported police brutality and misconduct cases committed across the United States of America, many of which had never given the media attention they deserve.
